Cannabis Hardware FlowerPot B2 (TED-0028)

Technical Specifications

Property Specification
Manufacturer Cannabis Hardware, LLC
Family FlowerPot (wired ball-vape heater head)
Part Number 7006 (Flowerpot B2 Standard Head) — confirmed on a still-live manufacturer product page, which independently corroborates the discontinuation narrative below and is a better-attested source than the archived bundle listing alone 1
Component Role (TREF-0004) Heater head — dual-use thermal-mass body (ball convection for flower + conduction dish for concentrates); mates with a 20 mm CH XLR coil + external PID + Shovelhead bowl, all sold separately (not part of the head)
Release Period Not manufacturer-published for the B-2 specifically. The manufacturer’s lineage blog of 2021-10-20 already narrates the B-2 as existing (“the B-2 was born”), and the earliest archived B-2 product listing is 2021-10-22, placing introduction no later than October 2021 23. Do not read the “Introduced in Aug-2021” line on that archived page as the B-2’s date — that paragraph is the Baller’s description (“The Baller is the newest head… 58 Quartz 4 mm spheres”) carried over onto the renamed listing; the page’s own title is “B-2 Head Assembly” while its body copy still describes the Baller 3. No discontinuation date is manufacturer-published; the surviving bundle page is now explicitly headed “Archived Product Information (For Reference Only)” 4. A community/dossier estimate of “discontinued c. 2024” exists but is not manufacturer-published and is not adopted here as fact 5.
Heating Method Ball-assisted convection for flower with a 28 mm SiC or sapphire conduction dish for concentrates; manufacturer-designed “double decker” dual-use (flower and concentrates simultaneously) 42
Heat Source 20 mm CH XLR enail coil (CH-specific: machined ramp inside the head contacts the coil ramp) + external PID controller (CH or Auber) 6
Temperature Control PID set-point control
Temperature Range 550–800 °F operating range per manufacturer FAQ 6
Chamber / Bowl Shovelhead bowl assembly; 14 mm and 18 mm connection posts; 28 mm SiC or sapphire dish for concentrates 4
Head Material Grade 2 titanium (custom dish nut and carb cap, per manufacturer) 42
Thermal Media Ball count not manufacturer-published for the B-2 head. The figures often quoted from the archived listing — “3MM - Bag of 12g. (11.2g fills up the Baller/Vrod top) (About 200 balls)” and “4MM - Bag of 11g (10.2g fills the Baller/Vrod top) (About 75 Balls)” — are bag quantities for the Baller/Vrod top, not a published capacity for the B-2, and are recorded here as such rather than as this head’s specification 3. Ball material is user-selectable (ruby, sapphire, quartz, SiC) per the same listing 3. The current Essentials Bundle page states the bundle ships with 4 mm rubies but gives no count 4.
Assembly Contents (archived listing, 2021-10-22) Sold “with tops” as: “B-2” Nut (3407); 28 mm SiC Dish (9264) or 28 mm Sapphire Dish (9265); FlowerPot Dab Top (3129); Screen Diffuser (3408); 3/4” Ti Screen (3103). Listed at $66.00 with no top, +$80 for the SiC dish variant and +$205 for the sapphire 3. The included Screen Diffuser (3408) is the part the manufacturer briefly sold under its own name as the “Screen Baller”; it is a component of this head, not a separate model (rule TAX-06), and the same part ships today as the “22mm ‘Standard’ Diffuser” 7.
Compatible Media Dry botanical flower and concentrates (dual-use; simultaneous “double decker” operation) 4
Power AC mains via coil + PID
Warranty 1-year metal (metalworks), 30-day coil, 1-year controller; SiC/Sapphire/Quartz/Obsidian glass and dish products excluded; warranties non-transferable. This is the manufacturer’s general policy — no head-specific warranty terms are separately published 8.

Revision & Discontinuation Notes

  • The B2 follows the Screen Baller in the third-generation FlowerPot lineage; the manufacturer describes it as “its own ecosystem” with a custom dish nut for maximum interior ball space and a carb cap crowdsourced from the community Discord 2.
  • The B1 is “a mix between the B-2 and the weedeater” — the flower-only variant that dropped the concentrate dish 2.
  • Why it was discontinued (per manufacturer): the B2 was originally designed to vaporize flower and concentrates at similar temperatures, but ruby ball media lowered flower vaporization temperatures enough to create a large flower/concentrate temperature delta that made true dual-purpose use impractical; running concentrates through ruby-filled heads also created significant cleaning and maintenance challenges. The manufacturer shifted to the B1 as the dedicated flower platform and to MOAB/Airstream for multi-purpose flexibility 4. No discontinuation date is manufacturer-published. A community/dossier estimate of “c. 2024” exists but is not treated as fact here 5.
  • On the release date: the product record behind today’s bundle page traces back through several Shopify handles (flowerpot-b2-head-assembly, flowerpot-b2-essentials-bundle, flowerpot-b2-premium-bundle, b2-injector-assembly) crawled by the Wayback Machine between 2021-10-22 and 2023-03-21; the earliest of these — captured 2021-10-22, then titled “B-2 Head Assembly” — carries the manufacturer’s own text “Introduced in Aug-2021,” describing the head (at that point still called “the Baller”) as machined from the Vrod head to accommodate rubies 3. This is consistent with, and slightly more precise than, the evolution blog’s 2021-10-20 description of the B2 as “then in prototyping” 2.
  • Coil note: unlike the B1 (any standard 20 mm coil), the B2 requires the CH 20 mm coil — the machined ramp inside the head makes full contact with the coil’s ramp for heat transfer 6.
  • Bundle note: the B2 was sold as a “Standard Essentials Bundle” (head assembly 7006, 4 mm ruby balls, universal carb cap, Shovelhead bowl, titanium screen, 14/18 mm posts, threaded heat stand, insulated heat post, enail handle, 20 mm coil, CH or Auber PID). Per TREF-0004, that bundle is a retail SKU of the B2 model — never a separate entity 4.

Safety Notes

  • Manufacturer FlowerPot guidance applies: the heated head is a burn hazard; park the hot head on its stand and do not leave it unattended while hot 68.
  • Do not exceed the 800 °F operating limit; the manufacturer recommends cleaning via the disassembly and cleaning manual rather than burn-offs 6.
  • Manufactured by Cannabis Hardware, LLC.
  • Sibling FlowerPot heads: B1, B0 / B-Zero, F16, F22.
  • Supersedes the FlowerPot Baller Head Assembly (generation 1). The manufacturer’s lineage blog places one interstitial step between them — the “Screen Baller”, which replaced the Baller’s machined solid bottom with a screen — and then: “[t]he Screen Baller performed so well that we wanted to make it more than just an upgraded diffuser to the Vrod. Instead, we wanted to make the baller into its own ecosystem, and the B-2 was born” 2. The Screen Baller is part 3408 and holds no record of its own: it is the diffuser component this head ships with (rule TAX-06) 7.
